Padila Mahadev Temple, also known as Pandeshwar Mahadev Dham, is one of the most revered temples of Lord Shiva in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Situated amidst a serene setting, it is especially thronged by devotees during the holy month of Sawan, when special rituals and processions take place. The temple is believed to fulfill the heartfelt wishes of devotees who worship Lord Shiva with faith and devotion. History of the temple

According to legends, the temple dates back to the Dwapar Yuga, when the Pandavas, during their exile, established a Shivalinga here under the guidance of Sage Bharadwaj. This marked the foundation of Padila Mahadev, giving it the name Pandeshwar Mahadev. Over the centuries, the temple has been revered as an ancient seat of Shiva worship. Later, in the 18th century, it underwent renovation under the patronage of Raja Nain Singh of Bahishuma Fort, preserving its sanctity for future generations.
